Building on the California Early Care and Education Workforce Study, this report provides a snapshot of the state of the ECE sector in Central California.
In particular, we report data on five counties: Fresno, Kings, Madera, Sutter, and Yuba.
Chapter 1 offers a profile of the core members of the ECE workforce in Central California: home-based family child care (FCC) providers and center-based educators (directors, lead teachers, and assistant teachers). Chapter 2 looks at the state of early educator well-being in the region. Chapter 3 describes program- or site-level characteristics of the sector, and Chapter 4 examines the stability of programs.
