Before entering the early childhood education field, Bethany specialized in education law while pursuing her master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, focusing specifically on child advocacy and anti-bullying policy. Through her graduate studies and subsequent role as QRIS coordinator for the WestEd E3 Institute, Bethany came to recognize the paramount importance of the first five years of life and the impact early childhood educators have on child development. Bethany joined CSCCE as a Research and Policy Associate in 2016 and currently works from Fort Worth, Texas.
