Building on the California Early Care and Education (ECE) Workforce Study, this report provides a snapshot of the state of the licensed ECE workforce in San Mateo County, California.

In Chapter 1, we provide a profile of its core members: family child care providers and center-based educators (directors, teachers, and assistants). In Chapter 2, we describe the state of educator well-being; and in Chapter 3, we explore the stability of the field.
