As Research Manager focused in Early Childhood Policy on the Multi-State Team, Sophia supports the development of the biennial Early Childhood Workforce Index. Previously, Sophia worked in early care and education research and policy, as well as non-profit development and communications. At the start of her career, she worked as an early educator at a community-based preschool providing care and education to children from families stabilizing from homelessness.
Sophia earned a master’s degree in Early Childhood Educational Leadership at Mills College and an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Communications from University of California, Davis.
In her spare time, she likes to hike around the Bay Area with her pup Milo and spend time with her family.
