Michael has over two decades of applied research experience focusing on the physical, mental, and economic well-being of low-income workers, with a particular focus on US immigrant populations. An author or co-author of over 50 publications, his methodological expertise includes mixed methods research design and community-based participatory research. Prior to joining CSCCE in 2019, Michael was an Associate Professor at the University of Memphis. He earned a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin.
